SUNDAY SCHOOL (9:30-10:15 am). The adult class is continuing a look at the book of Revelation. The children and youth classes (Pre-K through high school) also meet each Sunday morning. 

MISSIONARY PARTNERSHIP. If you’d like to give in support of our Together-In-Mission partners, Rev. Michael and Shanna Hageman, and the Lord’s mission to Tanzania, “Together-In-Mission” offering envelopes can be found on the shelf in the narthex for giving your support through the Sunday morning offering. Make checks payable to “Immanuel Lutheran Church” and the church will then forward these offerings each quarter. 

BOARD of MISSIONS COLLECTION. For November we are collecting children’s mittens, gloves, scarves and winter hats for the Wichita Children’s Home. A Christmas tree will be set up around which you can place your donation. The Board of Missions will be delivering these items around the first of December so that they children/youth will have them during the winter months. Thanks for any help you are able to give toward this offering! 

CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM practices will start November 15th during Sunday School at 9:30 am and continue every Sunday through December 20th. The program will then be held on Sunday, December 20th at 6:00 pm. Refreshments will follow. 

THE LUTHERAN LAYMEN’S LEAGUE (Men’s Group) is resuming their monthly meetings this Tuesday, November 3rd at 7:00 pm. We will have a video study as well as make preliminary plans for this winter’s pancake and sausage feed. All men of the congregation are invited and encouraged to attend. 

ADVENT MEALS. Advent will soon be upon us and there will be four weeks of midweek Services this year (7:00 pm Service each Wednesday). For the first three of those weeks we will gather at 6:15 for an evening meal and we need three groups to sponsor one of the meals (December 2nd, 9th, 16th). If your board or group would like to sponsor a meal, please sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board by the church office. 

ALL SAINTS’ DAY. As we observe All Saints’ Day, we remember with heavy hearts but also thankful hearts those whose robes have been washed white in the blood of the Lamb and whose souls now reside with the Lord having departed this life in faith and are awaiting with us the great day of the resurrection. Over the past year we have laid to rest two of the Lord’s saints from our membership who we will remember and thank God for in our prayers this morning: LaDonna Westbrook and Fred Renken. 

THE NOVEMBER CALENDAR and NOTES can be found on the stand in the narthex. 

THE ANNUAL THANKSGIVING DINNER will be held next Sunday, November 8th following the morning Service. Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy and stuffing will be provided. If you can please bring a side dish or dessert to add to the feast, it is greatly appreciated. 

95th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION! Join LaVera Vogts and her family on Saturday, November 21st for a “Come & Go Card Shower”! The celebration will be at the church from 1:00-3:00 pm. Refreshments will be served. 

BRIDAL SHOWER. Ladies, you are invited to a bridal shower for Kari Schmidt this afternoon at 2:00 pm in the Immanuel fellowship hall. Kari is registered at Target and www.zola.com. Hostesses are Brenda Vogts, Ashley Jowers, Brooke Vogts, Cheryl Boesker, Connie Bullinger and Julee Colburn. Please let Brenda know at 620-654-6116 if you will be able to attend.

+ For Krista Clites (sister of Jamie Kohl), Lilli Slater (step-mother of Pastor), Marilyn Vogts, Marsha Wilkening, Karri Strack, Denise Spicer (daughter of Arlene McKee), Julie Vogts and Corliss Harker who face health issues. 

+ For those in assisted living facilities: Richard Andrus, Irma Bullinger, LaVera Vogts, Lorene Crouse, Duane Moddelmog, and Betty Colburn. 

+ For our brothers and sisters who face persecution for faith in Christ. 

+ For missionaries Michael and Shanna Hageman as they serve in Tanzania. 

+ For those who battle addictions and/or are incarcerated, that they may know the peace and hope that only Jesus gives.

LIVESTREAM HELP - We are needing to train a third person on live streaming for Sunday Adult Bible Study and Worship service time. Please contact Brent for details. This would involve setting up the iPad, logging onto Facebook and our church website, copying and pasting some links, maybe adjusting some volumes during the worship service periodically. We would also show you how to set up the video camera and amplifier for use with the Fellowship Hall TV / Sound System.

PRIVATE CONFESSION & ABSOLUTION - Pastor Slater will be available in his office, for any individuals who would like to have private Confession and Absolution in preparation for receiving Holy Communion, from 9:00am to Noon, each Saturday prior to the Sundays in which the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated. This is of course voluntary and not required for receiving Communion. Just an opportunity to further prepare your heart and mind for anyone who might so desire. Any questions, please let Pastor know.
