MISSIONARY PARTNERSHIP - Our Together-in-Mission partners Rev. Michael and Shanna Hageman ā will soon be moving to Tanzania where Rev. Make checks payable to "Immanuel Lutheran Church" and the church will forward these offerings to the Office of International Mission once every quarter. NEW WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY - will begin Wednesday, April 8th at 6:30 pm. The book that will be used this go-around will be "Strong and Courageous: Studying God's Promises in Joshua " by Donna Snow. PORTALS OF PRAYER - Ā for April through June can be found in the narthex. Large-print copies are also available. LIFE QUOTE - Ā "No place on earth should be a safer refuge for that tiny innocent child than the womb, the place of racham, the place ofmercy. Abortion invades and destroys that refuge, that mercy, at its very source. Sadly, abortion has become a part ofthe brutalization of human life, a sad commentary on the cruelty of human nature." Rev. Paul Clark, Lutherans For Life of Michigan. A Life Quote from Lutherans For Life lutheransforlife.org. STEWARDSHIP THOUGHT - "lf anyone says anything to you, you shall say, 'The Lord needs them,' and he will send them at once. (Matthew 21:3). Did Jesus really need the donkey? If the man had refused to give the donkey, would the work of salvation have been derailed? Of course not. But what an honor for the man who owned this donkey and foal! Likewise, with us ā the Lord needs none of us, but what an honor for God to choose to use our generosity in the work of His church. Prayer Requests + For Ashley Jowers, Krista Clites (sister of Jamie Kohl), Lilli Slater (step-mother of Pastor Slater), Marilyn Vogts, Marsha Wilkening, Donna Hamm, Karri Strack, Maria (sister of Rudy Dimaplas) and Adam Soeken who face health issues. + For those homebound and in assisted living facilities: Richard Andrus, Irma Bullinger, LaVera Vogts, Lorene Crouse; Duane Moddelmog, Betty Colburn and Vernon Nutter. + For our brothers and sisters who face persecution for faith in Christ. + For missionaries Michael and Shanna Hageman as they prepare to begin work in Tanzania. + For those who battle addictions and/or are incarcerated, that they may know the peace and hope that only Jesus can give.
LIVESTREAM HELP- We are needing to train a third person on live streaming for Sunday Adult Bible Study and Worship service time. Please contact Brent for details. This would involveĀ setting up the iPad, logging onto Facebook and our church website, copying and pasting some links, maybe adjusting some volumes during the worship serviceĀ periodically. We would also show you how to setĀ up the video camera and amplifier for use with the Fellowship Hall TV / Sound System.
PRIVATE CONFESSION & ABSOLUTION- Pastor Slater will be available in his office, for any individuals who would like to have private Confession and Absolution in preparation for receiving Holy Communion, from 9:00am to Noon, each Saturday prior to the Sundays in which the Lordās Supper will be celebrated. This is of course voluntary and not required for receiving Communion. Just an opportunity to further prepare your heart and mind for anyone who might so desire. Any questions, please let Pastor know.
