HOLY BAPTISM Today we have the joy of witnessing the Lord’s gift of Holy Baptism for Mirabella Rosa Bañuelos. Mirabella is the infant daughter of Sarah Henry and Rodolfo Bañuelos. Serving as Mirabella’s sponsors are her sisters: Silas Stewart and Asa Courtney. We rejoice with the Henry family!

SUNDAY SCHOOL (9:30-10:15) am) The adult class is studying the Augsburg Confession. The children and youth classes will not be meeting again until September.

MISSIONARY PARTNERSHIP Our Together-In-Mission partners – Rev. Michael and Shanna Hageman – are now in Tanzania. If you’d like to give to supporting the Hageman’s and the Lord’s mission to Tanzania, “Together-In-Mission” offering envelopes can be found on the shelf in the narthex that you can use in giving your support through the Sunday morning offering. Make checks payable to “Immanuel Lutheran Church” and the church will then forward these offerings to the Office of International Mission each quarter.

MOWING HELP A sign-up is posted on the bulletin board by the church office for mowing the church yard and the cemetery. All help is appreciated!

WATERMELON FEED and TALENT SHOW The Board of Missions is sponsoring a talent show and watermelon feed beginning at 6:30 pm on Sunday, July 19th. If you would like to enter your talent, please let one of the members of our Board of Missions know: Connie Bunn, Mary Lee Wilkening, and Karla Jones.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL will be held the week of Monday, July 27th and run through Friday, July 31st during the evening. This year’s theme is “Tropical Trek: Jesus Comes to Seek and Save”. Any children Pre-K through those who just finished 5th grade are invited!

PORTALS OF PRAYER for July through September can be found in the narthex. Large-print copies are available.

THANK YOU The ladies of the congregation residing at Pine Village in Moundridge – Irma Bullinger, Betty Colburn and Lorene Crouse – would like to thank the ladies of the LWML for their wonderful visit the other morning! The fellowship and plentiful food was such a joy and blessing! Thank you!

FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION Next Sunday, July 5th, we are hosting our annual get together for food and fireworks! We will start at approximately 6:00 pm with a potluck supper with fireworks following until after dark.

THEOLOGY ON TAP is this evening from 6:00-7:30 pm at Three Rings Brewery in McPherson. Pastor Slater is leading this month’s study as we take a look at the conclusion of the Ten Commandments from the Large Catechism.

STEWARDSHIP THOUGHT “And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward” (Matthew 10:42). The tithes and offerings you give to the Lord’s work in His church go toward supporting all manner of discipleship. They provide for a minister of the Gospel to preach, teach and conduct the Sacraments; they provide for our missionaries and ministries of mercy here and abroad; and they make sure that the folks in your area have a place to go to worship the Lord. The Lord is pleased with this work, and He wants to bless you through your support of it!

LIFE QUOTE “Whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward” (Matthew 10:42). God does not demand from us that we have success with everyone to whom we proclaim the Word of God. God knows the hearts of men. He knows that many have turned their hearts from hearing God’s Word. They desire to stay in their sins and not hear God’s mercy and love for them. They will still kill their children, murder their elders, and seek to destroy life at every step because of who their father is. But we as God’s children are to speak the truth even when it is received with hostility and even when it seems meager and worthless. For God says if we even give a cup of cold water, God will bless us. If we seek to save the life of a human being according to God’s Word, God will bless us.” A Life Quote from Lutherans For Life.

LIVESTREAM HELP - We are needing to train a third person on live streaming for Sunday Adult Bible Study and Worship service time. Please contact Brent for details. This would involve setting up the iPad, logging onto Facebook and our church website, copying and pasting some links, maybe adjusting some volumes during the worship service periodically. We would also show you how to set up the video camera and amplifier for use with the Fellowship Hall TV / Sound System.

PRIVATE CONFESSION & ABSOLUTION - Pastor Slater will be available in his office, for any individuals who would like to have private Confession and Absolution in preparation for receiving Holy Communion, from 9:00am to Noon, each Saturday prior to the Sundays in which the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated. This is of course voluntary and not required for receiving Communion. Just an opportunity to further prepare your heart and mind for anyone who might so desire. Any questions, please let Pastor know.
